Divergent Progression - Alternative Progression System in Minecraft
The Divergent Progression mod fundamentally changes Minecraft's standard progression system, drawing inspiration from Minecraft Diverge and Slow Your Roll concepts. Instead of conventional wooden and stone tools, players will need to master crafting implements from flint and copper.
Key Features of the Modification
Main changes affect tool crafting and characteristics. Flint pebbles now generate throughout the overworld, providing access to basic resources. Special bars have been added for tool crafting, made from 6 units of material similar to rails but without sticks and with altered orientation.
Anvils now require 4 bars and 3 ingots for crafting instead of the traditional 3 blocks and 4 ingots. Chainmail armor has become craftable and replaces iron armor, while other armor types can be obtained through the smithing table by combining chainmail with corresponding bars.
The durability system received significant improvements: tools and armor no longer get destroyed when fully worn out, instead becoming simply useless. Repair at anvils became free, and anvils themselves break less frequently. Durability of standard tool materials has been increased, and smelting iron and gold tools now yields ingots instead of nuggets.
The modification is compatible with BetterNether and Bronze, allowing integration into various mod packs.
