The Doggy Talents mod transforms ordinary Minecraft wolves into intelligent and capable canine companions with unique skills and abilities.

Main Features

Your pet can master 19 different talents that unlock new gameplay mechanics. The leveling system allows you to develop your dog, increasing its level and effectiveness. You can play fetch with your pet, dye collars in various colors, and use diverse accessories.

For dog care, special beds, food bowls, and other items are provided. Radio collars help track your pet's location on a radar. The artificial intelligence is significantly improved compared to regular wolves, and the new hunger system prevents accidental dog death.

How to get a dog?

Use a training treat on a tamed wolf. In creative mode, you can use the doggy charm. To open the control interface, use the standard Minecraft stick.

Dog doesn't respond to commands and has red texture

When health reaches 0, the dog enters incapacitated mode. To revive your pet, feed it cake.

How does the hunger system work?

Maximum hunger capacity is 120 units. Meat restores hunger, and the "Happy Eater" talent increases food effectiveness and allows eating fish with rotten flesh. With hunger available, the dog slowly regenerates health, and in sitting position - replenishes hunger.

Missing dog textures

This is intended to allow adding custom textures. Place files in the '\assets\doggytalents\textures\mob\dog' folder with names 'doggytex$NUM$.png'.

Command emblem replaced by whistle

Starting from version 1.15.0.0, the emblem has been replaced by a whistle, which is also used for shepherd dog and roaring gale talents. Shift+click changes the whistle type.

Functionality of beds and baths

Mainly decorative, but in the bath the dog will continuously shake!

Main updates are targeted at the latest game version. Older versions receive fixes only for critical errors.
