Dokko's Hotbar Optimizer
Dokko's Hotbar Optimizer
This client-side mod fundamentally improves the handling of the hotbar in Minecraft by eliminating delays when switching between slots.
How does the modification work?
In the standard version of the game, when changing slots on the hotbar, the client waits up to 50 milliseconds (one game tick) before sending information to the server. This mod completely removes this delay and transmits data instantly.
This change leads to noticeable improvements in several key gameplay aspects:
Reduction of "ghost" totem effect
Totems become significantly more reliable because the server learns that you're holding a totem much earlier. This reduces the time window during which the "ghost" effect can occur.
- With low ping (20 ms): probability of ghost totems decreases by approximately 71%
- With high ping (150 ms): still helps, improvement of about 25%
Improvement of attribute switching
Quick switches for axe combinations or breach techniques become smoother and more precise.
- Low ping: server sees your switch approximately 71% faster
- High ping: approximately 25% faster
Essentially, the mod makes all actions with the hotbar more responsive and predictable - this is especially useful in PvP, crystal battles, and critical totem situations.
Mod management
Enabling and disabling the mod is done through the ModMenu settings screen.
