Main Features

The mod introduces three tiers of steel alloys into the game: Impure, Improved, and Dark Steel. For each metal type, complete sets of armor and tools are available.

Steel Alloy Characteristics

Impure Steel: Slightly outperforms iron equivalents in terms of parameters.

Improved Steel: Although inferior in durability to diamond, this material has an important advantage - it can carry more enchantments. At the same time, obtaining it is much easier than diamonds.

Dark Steel: This alloy serves as an alternative to netherite. It is crafted using obsidian and steel, eliminating the need to search for ancient debris in the Nether. However, creating dark armor requires significant resources - each ingot requires 8 units of obsidian and one improved steel ingot. Another nuance: dark steel armor accepts fewer enchantments, similar to diamond armor. Nevertheless, it is an excellent intermediate step between diamond and netherite. Like netherite, dark steel does not burn in lava.

Additional Features

Each dark steel ingot can be converted into one netherite scrap if you prefer crafting over searching in the Nether.

All types of steel ingots can be transformed into blocks and back into ingots.
