Livestock Overhaul is a survival modification that transforms standard farm animals into more complex models with improved textures and numerous new features.
Main Innovations
- Variety of colors, patterns, and genetic characteristics in animals
- Improved drops, including new types of meat cuts
- New food products: cheeses from cow, sheep, and llama milk, as well as fish oil
- Ability to equip donkeys and mules with armor
- Chest system for horses
- New "Netherite Horse Armor"
- "Ground Tying" function for horses, mules, and donkeys when saddled, plus carpet blankets
- Emotions for horses, mules, and donkeys, including bows and piaffe
- Gender system for animals (configurable), affecting breeding and byproduct production
The modification automatically converts animals, which spawn with random variations.

Technical Issues
Question: Animations don't play or work incorrectly?
Answer: This is a Geckolib issue. Try disabling entity shadows in game settings and shader options, especially if using a shader loader like Iris. You can also disable the Iris/Oculus Geckolib compatibility mod for version 1.20.1. Unfortunately, we cannot fix this issue on our end.
