Dragon Mounts 2

Dragon Mounts 2

Introduction

Dragon Mounts 2 continues the legacy of BarracudaATA's famous dragon taming mod and enriches the game world with over 15 unique dragon species. The modification introduces new armors and tools for players, special equipment for dragons, nests that generate across different biomes, new mythical creature breeds, and much more.

Dragon Mounts 2: Expanded is a comprehensive remake of the original mod that fixes numerous bugs, updates outdated textures, and completely rewrites the codebase for stable performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why isn't my dragon summoning whistle working? Answer: To activate the whistle, you need to hit a dragon with the whistle in hand (it won't harm them) and select them. The dragon must be on the ground or flying.

Question: Where can I find dragon eggs? Answer: Dragons don't spawn naturally. You need to locate their nests in specific biomes: water dragons in swamps, sunlight dragons in deserts, fire dragons in extreme hills, and so on. Although nests are rare, they always generate in the world.

Question: Why can't I craft an amulet? Answer: Empty amulets have crafting recipes, while specific amulet types appear automatically when a dragon is trapped inside the amulet.

Question: How do I hatch a dragon egg? Answer: Pick up the egg by punching it. Make sure it's a block, not an entity. Place the egg in a suitable location, right-click, and wait for the egg to start moving. The hatching process takes about an hour. Stay in loaded chunks, otherwise the process will pause. Eggs won't disappear when leaving the area.

Question: How do I tame and ride a dragon? Answer: Tame a dragon by feeding it any vanilla fish. Dragons first enter breeding mode before taming, so the hearts that appear are misleading. Continue feeding the dragon until you can make it sit using a stick. Unlike previous versions, you can now tame baby dragons without waiting for them to mature. To ride a dragon, press Shift + Right-click on a juvenile or adult dragon to access the inventory. Place a regular saddle in the appropriate slot. The mod now also adds saddle crafting recipes. Dragons will follow the direction you're looking, controlled using WASD keys.

Question: My screen turns white when looking at a dragon. How do I fix this? Answer: This is a common issue with third-party health display or damage indicator mods. Go into the settings of torohealth/damage indicator or similar mods and disable model preview. This error is not related to this mod.
