Dragon Mounts 2: Community Edition

Dragon Mounts 2: Community Edition is an updated version of the famous Dragon Mounts 2 mod. This project completely reworks the original modification, fixing numerous bugs and updating outdated code and textures.

🎯 Key Features

Fire-Breathing Dragons

Each dragon type possesses unique breath with different effects:

Fire Breath - sets mobs on fire and turns sand into glass
Ice Breath - slows down entities and creates snow
Water Breath - extinguishes fire and applies slowness
Poison Breath - poisons mobs and deals damage
Wither Breath - applies wither effect
Air Breath - throws mobs into the air and pushes them away
Nether Breath - enhanced version of fire breath with molten hot temperature
Acid Breath - applies wither II effect

Dragon Control and Equipment

A special whistle is used to control dragons:

Craft a whistle and bind it to a specific dragon by interacting with it
Commands include Sit, Stand, and Follow

Dragons possess a unique inventory interface:

Can carry chests, making them useful for additional storage
Dragon armor can be crafted to increase their protection

Dragon scales are used to create new equipment:

Craft diamond shears to obtain dragon scales
Use scales to create powerful weapons and armor

Dragon Reincarnation and Customization

When a tamed dragon dies, a Dragon Core appears at the death location:

Cores contain the essence of the specific dragon
Essences are gem items that resurrect dragons when used on the ground
Orb of Variation changes dragon variants

Removed all dependencies, spawning system completely reworked using vanilla methods
Cleaned codebase, removed legacy code
Optimized performance through faster data structures
Completely reworked configuration files with settings for easy spawning customization
Multiple bug fixes including resources, language files, and hitboxes
Added various new features in the spirit of the original mod
Quality of life improvements including reworked AI and improved breeding
