This project requires Oh The Trees You Grow 1.3.4. mod to work *. See "WIKI" below for more information about saplings!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DREAMWOODS is a biome mod, that adds many new biomes- both realistic and fantasy, and changes the appearance of most vanilla biomes by making trees bigger as well as adding other vegetation and small terrain features. Dreamwoods offers a new inspirational experience, remaining close to minecraft vanilla visuals, and mindfully picks all colours and features to suit biomes perfectly. All biomes are carefully distributed over the 7 main "climate zones": cold snowy, boreal and taiga, autumnal and temperate, mild temperate, warm temperate, cool subtropical and big tropical zone (desert-savanna-jungle). Each zone has its own plateau, mountains and hills biomes, as well as swampy biomes. All together they blend nicely, providing as smooth climate transitions as possible.
See "Climate Zones" below to learn more about. This will help you to find biomes faster, because biomes are located inside climate zones, that are like "belts", going around more "round-ish" Coldest and Hottest zones from colder to warmer and so on. Swamps are spots scattered around the world, 100% Vanilla distribution. Hot zones are a bit smaller, comparing to Vanilla, to give space for dozens of temperate biomes and reduce unnecessary large territories of the same repeated biomes. Snowy zones are almost Vanilla. Badlands zones are reduced as too disrupting for the actual hot biomes ( especially to hot plateau biomes), and may occur less often. If only the new Vanilla Worldgen would fit more, but...sigh. It's so badly limited in every aspect now.
This project is a spiritual successor to my Woodlands series and older mods, like Untouched Nature. The style is much more vanilla-friendly this time and foliage is finally properly decaying! *
* Except for Palm and weeping willows, because their leaves placement still don't follow the vanilla rules.
Dreamwoods mod adds:
- 61 new biome + most overworld vanilla biomes overhaul
- Lots of new plants and flowers, waterplants and vines
- Potted flowers and saplings
- Lots of new tree types with custom logs and foliage
- Blooming and autumnal foliage particles
- Base wooden building blocks from new wood, including beautiful doors
- Saplings for most custom trees and reworked vanilla trees as well
- Clay Dirt to add an additional source of clay
- All trees in both vanilla and custom biomes were remade to be bigger and more real
- Flowers were adjusted in every biome to make the world livelier
- Superflat preset is vanilla, Default, Large Biomes and Amplified use Dreamwoods biomes
Vanilla editions would be available in 1.20.1 in the first release, then 1.21.1, for Forge, Neoforge and Fabric.
Full edition would be released on Forge 1.20.1 firstly. 1.21.1 would be released after on Forge or Neoforge.
Newer version would rely on the library mod updates, which I cannot control.
* The mod will force you to use Oh The Trees You Grow only version up to 1.3.4 !!! Latest versions have severe bugs, that still should be fixed! Please wait patiently until OTYG's authors fix them! I'll update the mod' requisites only when it is safe to use newer versions!
Make sure that you have enough space for huge trees to grow from saplings! With coremod Oh The Trees You Grow version 1.3.4 or older trees break all blocks in their way! Very dangerous for the buildings!
Biomes Mods Compatibility:
Should be compatible with all mods made on Terrablender.
Most likely incompatible with mods, made on datapack-system, as they would conflict with Dreamwoods system in some way: overwrite, change or mess it, or simply stop one of them from working at all.
Should be prety fine with not-biome mods.
Dreamwoods adds lots of tags to biomes, blocks and items to ensure maximum possible compatibility. If another mod does it's spawning the right way- using biome tags, stuff would spawn correctly. If another mod does it's recipes or interractions correctly- using items and blocks tags, they would have compatibility. For any other cases mods like Craft Tweaker would be useful.
Dreamwoods is a data-based mod, so configs for biomes are not possible (at least easy and for my level of experience). There is a relatively new mod called Biome Replacer, that should help to remove unwanted biomes from datapacks. I should test it though.
Tested compatibility:
- Serene Seasons ( see spoiler below for tags!)
- Moderner Beta
- Tree Chop
set "maxBreakLeavesDistance" to higher numbers (10-13) for bigger trees and "ignorePersistentLeaves = false" to remove leaves fron Palm and weeping willows, if you want
- Tree Harvester
"ignorePlayerMadeTrees": false (to remove Palm and weeping willow leaves)
- Panda Falling Tree
"maxLeavesRadius": 10, "maxLogAmount": 500, "shouldFallOnMaxLogAmount": false, "shouldIgnorePersistentLeaves": false (to remove Palm and weeping willow leaves)
- Biomes O'Plenty
- Regions Unexplored
- Oh The Biomes We've Gone
- Tectonic
- Quark
- Mystic's Biomes
- Autumnity
- River Redux
- Swampier Swamps
- Alex Caves

Serene Seasons Tags (what expect from Dreamwoods biomes during seasons):
"Tropical biomes" (use tropical climate): all hot biomes (desert, savanna and jungle-like)
"Blacklisted biomes" (no seasonal changes): Ice Abyss, Ice Grove, Volcano Slopes and Volcano Fields.
"Lesser color change biomes" (just slightly change colors, still have seasons): Twilight Wetlands, Thaumic Grove, Sacred Giants Wood, Autumnal Hills, Autumnal Wood, Morass, Seasonal Grove, Ruby Maple Forest, Wet Larch Forest, Golden Aspen Spinney, Grim Woods, Fall Fruitfull Grove, Fall Snowy Grove, Tundra
Can be changed inside mod's .jar , follow data/sereneseasons... path.
Partially compatible/Not working as intended:
- WWOO (William Wyther's Overhauled Overworld) - works, but biomes may look unpredictable
- WWEE ( William Wyther's Expanded Ecosphere) - Dreamwoods custom biomes would not spawn!
- Terralith -Dreamwoods biomes would not spawn!
- Dynamic Trees (only vanilla trees will change)
- Let's Do Blooming Nature - biomes are messed up, may look unpredictable
Not compatible:
- Litosphere (the world is not posible to create)

Mod's "wiki" :
Saplings
All specific tree species (those with new foliage) can be grown. Thick trees would have a 2x2 saplings pattern too, thin trees may look a bit different from in-world old ones. Vanilla reworked trees also have new types of saplings: DW Spruce, DW Oak, DW Dark Oak, DW Mangrove, DW Birch and DW Old Birch, DW Mega Pine. Oak and Dark Oak have "thick" variant with 2x2 saplings placement.
!!! Due to the current working "Oh The Trees You Grow" coremod issues it's trees will replace all blocks in their way. Saplings, that are dangerous to the surroundings are:
- all thick versions of trees (2x2 saplings pattern)
- some thin (1 sapling) trees: mahogany, palm, poplar, silver cypress, DW dark oak, redheart, twilight tree, purpleheart, grimholt, pine, fir, hemlock

Known issues and important info
- Old Oh The Trees You Grow versions (<=1.3.4) bug with trees destroying other trees and structures on their way
- Couple of trees would not have decaying trees due to their structure, like palms, weeping willow or rooty bushes
- For the vanilla edition, some trees may consist of non-natural blocks, like ashen volcano trees. Some biomes may not be included in the vanilla edition because they cannot be made properly without modded blocks.
