The Dungeon Denizens mod enriches the Minecraft world with a classic set of creatures inspired by the atmosphere of the old Ultima game series. These diverse opponents will make your adventures more intense and dangerous.
New Creatures
Headless

These humanoid creatures lack heads and necks but possess an amazing ability to detect players from a great distance. They operate in groups and can alert their kin to your presence, making them dangerous opponents.
- Spawn in groups of 1-2 individuals
- 20% faster and more resilient than zombies
- Can spawn anywhere and at any time of day
- Avoid creepers
Orcs

Brutal humanoids with primitive weapons who always carry iron with them. Their aggressive nature makes them dangerous opponents in close combat.
- Armed with axes, swords, or clubs
- Have varying health and damage stats
- Spawn in any biome
Ghouls

Smart relatives of zombies who hunt livestock and can heal themselves by picking up meat. They fear sunlight and can open doors.
- Attack cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals
- Pick up meat to restore health
- Can open doors
- Fear boulders
Gazers

Magical creatures capable of hovering in the air and summoning helpers. They keep their distance while casting weakening spells.
- Hover at heights up to 15 blocks
- Cast paralysis
- Summon 1-3 headless or orcs
- Spawn below sea level and in the Nether
Shadows

Incorporeal remnants of ancient warriors against whom ordinary weapons are almost useless. Vulnerable only to gold and weapons from their realm.
- Inflict blindness and weakness
- Flee when taking damage
- Gold items neutralize their abilities
- Spawn in dungeons and the Nether
Shadowlords

Powerful versions of shadows with a blindness aura and the ability to summon helpers. Very dangerous opponents requiring special tactics.
- Possess a blindness aura with a 2-block radius
- Summon shadows, ghouls, and even demons
- Inflict poison and exhaustion
- Do not despawn naturally
Daemons

Formidable creatures with immunity to fire and the ability to create fire spouts. Rarely spawn in the normal world but can be summoned by other magical creatures.
- Immune to fire
- Create fire spouts
- Possess high durability
- Spawn deep underground and in the Nether
Boulders

Peaceful creatures that follow the player if fed iron ore or ingots. Hibernate during the day and without regular feeding.
- Follow players when fed
- Hibernate during daylight
- Do not deal damage
- Spawn in mountains and dungeons
