Dungeons and Taverns Nether Fortress Overhaul

This mod is part of the Dungeons and Taverns series, but does not require the main Dungeons and Taverns mod to function. The core Dungeons and Taverns mod does NOT include the features of this addon.

Core Changes

The mod completely overhauls the standard Nether Fortress, making it more expansive and interesting to explore.

Key Features

• Guaranteed spawner: Every fortress contains 1 guaranteed blaze spawner, plus many additional randomly distributed spawners
• Redesigned bridges: All bridge structures have been completely redesigned in a brutalist style while maintaining interior space
  • Each bridge segment has a 25% chance to contain a chest with standard fortress loot
  • Bridge intersections have a 16.7% chance to spawn a blaze spawner tower (if space permits)
• Updated halls: Interior fortress spaces have been completely reworked with three corridor types:
  • Narrow corridors: may contain chests, decorations, or remain empty
  • Stair sections: always lead one level down, splitting routes across different heights
  • Wings: contain various rooms - 30 rooms of 7×4×7 and 11 rooms of 7×4×15

Loot and Spawners

Rooms may contain chests with enhanced loot that combines standard Nether Fortress items with unique rewards from this overhaul. Rooms feature blaze spawners and magma cube spawners.

Generation Features

Curved corridors cannot connect to other curved sections, and wings cannot directly connect to other wings, creating diverse and unpredictable layouts for each fortress.
