Discs Where Discs Shouldn't Be
This mod enriches your gaming world with 14 unique music discs created by composer Jacob Thomas. Each composition harmoniously fits into the Minecraft atmosphere while offering a fresh perspective on the original game sound. In addition to discs, the mod includes music-oriented items - whistles and sherds that make the archaeology system more interesting and diverse.
Music Without the Mod
For those who want to enjoy the music without installing the mod, a special resource pack is available. It redesigns existing music discs in the game, allowing it to be used on servers without requiring all players to install the mod.
Compatibility
The mod is compatible with three other popular modifications. If you have suggestions for adding compatibility with other mods or questions about integration, contact the developer.
Music Discs
14 new music discs organically fit into vanilla gameplay and encourage world exploration. Like standard discs, each has its own comparator output (corresponding to the order in the album) and automatically inserts/ejects from jukeboxes.
Craftable Discs
5 out of 14 discs are crafted on a smithing table. Each disc requires a disc core, netherite scrap, and corresponding materials.
Findable Discs
9 discs cannot be crafted - they can only be found during adventures. They generate in chests of existing structures, sometimes together with disc cores.
Additional Items
In addition to music discs, the mod adds several unique items that also encourage world exploration.
Disc Core
These items resemble rough diamond stones with a smooth glass-like surface. They can be found in the Overworld, Nether, and End in vanilla structures. When combined with a specific item and netherite scrap, they transform into new discs!
Whistles
An ancient whistle can be found in trail ruins, buried in suspicious gravel. A player can play a familiar melody by right-clicking. When upgrading an ancient whistle on a smithing table with a copper ingot and amethyst shard, gold ingot, diamond, or emerald, improved versions are obtained, each with its own unique melody.
Sherds
Three musical sherds are scattered throughout the Overworld. They work the same as vanilla sherds and can be used to create decorative pots.
Advancements
The mod adds a new achievements page. Will you be able to collect all music discs, play all types of note blocks, and collect every goat horn?
