About Dye Depot Mod

What Dye Depot Offers
The Dye Depot mod significantly expands Minecraft's color palette by adding 16 completely new dyes to the game. This opens up additional customization possibilities: you'll be able to change fish coloration, create unique banners, dye sheep wool, alter animal collar colors, and much more!
Additionally, the mod improves the basic dye crafting system from the vanilla version of the game, making it more logical and convenient for players.
The mod also includes a built-in resource pack that can be activated optionally. It enhances the visual presentation of dyes: renames Light Blue to Sky, Light Gray to Ash, and updates the textures of standard dyes.
Mod-loader and Version Support
The mod is being developed for Fabric and Forge. Backporting to older game versions is not planned.
Compatibility
Since dyes are deeply integrated elements of Minecraft, when using this mod alongside other mods, some issues may occur, such as missing textures or blocks. Compatibility will be gradually improved, but for now you can explore unofficial compatibility solutions.
Dye Crafting Guide
Note: you don't have to follow this guide, you can simply use the recipe book or JEI
This chart provides a quick overview of how the crafting system works:
- Color Types at the top will help you understand which specific dye you're working with and what colors it can be transformed into. Each color set has these 4 variants, except for grayscale, which lacks a tinted variant, so
Ash/Light GrayandGrayare treated as lighter and darker colors rather than equivalents. - The Basic Crafting & Converting section applies to all shades and serves as a useful guide for understanding how to turn a light color into a dark one, a tinted color into a base one, etc.
- The Crafting Tinted Variants section explains how to obtain each tinted dye, as they all have different crafting recipes.
