Dynamic Difficulty
Dynamic Difficulty is a port/rewrite of the Auto Leveling mod by Daripher for NeoForge version 1.21.1. The main goal of this modification is to solve the common problem in many Minecraft modpacks where player power significantly exceeds mob strength, and gameplay quickly becomes uninteresting due to overly easy encounters.
The mod strives to find the perfect balance between innate creature strength (such factors as dimensions or levels for specific entity types, like level 20 dragons or a level 100 ignis) and progression based on player development (for instance, scaling mobs according to equipment or skill trees).
Current Features
- Configurable scaling factors for modifying mob attributes per level
- Generic distance/deepness-based difficulty scaling that can be overridden by dimension and individual entity settings
- Dimension-based leveling through datapacks
- Individual enhancement and scaling of specific entity types through datapacks
All parameters are fully customizable according to your preferences!
In Development
- Guide for creating datapacks for the mod
- Structure-based difficulty system
- Items and consumables for leveling up tamed pets
- Integration with mods that add skill trees, quest systems, and enhanced equipment (such as Apotheosis) to dynamically influence mob difficulty with configurable options
