Compatibility and System Requirements

For Fabric 1.20.4:

• JAVA 17 and above
• Fabric Loader version 0.15.1 or newer
• Fabric API 0.91.2+1.20.4 and above
• 100% client-side mod - works without server installation

For Fabric 1.20.1:

Core Mod Features

Enhanced Audio Processing:

The mod automatically applies reverb effects to spatial sounds, adding depth and realism to your surroundings.

Individual Sound Control:

Set custom key bindings to manage specific audio effects. You can block sounds, adjust volume levels, and even preview how sounds will play.

Biome Ambience Sounds:

Each natural area gains unique background sounds that blend seamlessly as you transition between biomes. This complements Minecraft's default sound system without replacing it. In the Nether, ambient sounds utilize the game's own biome system.

Waterfall Effects:

Flowing water creates realistic waterfall sounds and visual splash effects when descending.

Thermal Effects:

Hot blocks (lava, magma) generate steam jets and fire effects when interacting with environmental elements.

Improved Thunder Sounds:

Replace Minecraft's standard storm sounds with higher-quality alternatives.

On-Screen Information:

Display current time when holding a clock, or direction when equipped with a compass. Also includes a dedicated debug HUD that removes Dynamic Surroundings information from the standard F3 menu.

Technical Details and Features

The mod does not port some features from earlier Dynamic Surroundings versions. Excluded Features:
