Dynamic Crosshair is a Minecraft modification that works on Fabric and (Neo)Forge platforms. The main concept of the mod is to automatically hide or change the appearance of the crosshair depending on the current in-game situation.
IMPORTANT: Starting from version 8, the mod has been completely rewritten. Configuration files should transfer automatically, but it's recommended to check settings after updating from older versions!
Main Features
The crosshair can automatically hide when you're not looking at any object. Its display also changes depending on what you're looking at or the item you're holding. You can customize the crosshair appearance for various game situations. The mod offers extensive personalization options.
System Requirements
The mod is designed for Minecraft version 1.18.2 and above.
Fabric Version
- Requires Fabric API installation
- Starting from version 6, there's an optional dependency on YetAnotherConfigLib for in-game parameter configuration
- Versions up to 5.5 require ClothConfig
- Mod Menu is not mandatory but provides access to in-game settings menu
(Neo)Forge Version
- From version 6, there's an optional dependency on YetAnotherConfigLib for in-game configuration
- Versions up to 5.5 require ClothConfig installation
Compatibility
Since the mod is closely tied to the vanilla version of Minecraft and uses hardcoded interaction rules, advanced features (context-dependent style changes) may work incorrectly in modified worlds.
For playing with content mods, it's recommended to install Dynamic Crosshair Compat.
If you like dynamic interface elements, check out another mod Auto HUD, which extends dynamic behavior to most of the game's HUD.
DynamicCrosshair is currently not compatible with Exordium (to use other features, set the enabledGui parameter to false).
