Dynamic Surroundings - Immersion in the Minecraft World
The Dynamic Surroundings mod fundamentally transforms the gameplay experience by adding realistic sound and visual effects that make the Minecraft world more alive and atmospheric.
Main Features
Enhanced Sound Processing: Sounds in three-dimensional space receive reverb effects that depend on surrounding materials. This creates a sense of real acoustic space.
Individual Sound Control: Configure hotkeys to control sounds directly in the game. You can block, disable, and adjust the volume of individual sounds, as well as listen to them for testing.
Biome Sounds: Various atmospheric sounds that play depending on the biomes in your area. Smooth blending of sounds as the player moves through the world. (This does not replace the standard biome background sound in Minecraft. Currently, various Nether biomes use this capability, and Dynamic Surroundings does not have sound configurations for that dimension.)
Hot Block Effects: Flame jets over lava and steam where water hits hot blocks. Hot blocks include lava and magma.
Improved Thunder Sounds: Replaces standard thunder sounds in Minecraft with enhanced versions.
Debug Commands: Various client-side "DS" commands for outputting configuration information. (Currently used by the developer during development. Documentation for general use is planned.)
Custom HUD: A special debug interface accessible via hotkeys. Removes Dynamic Surroundings information from the traditional F3 display.
