Dynmap® - Your Minecraft Server Map in Browser
Dynmap® is an interactive map for Minecraft servers that works directly in a web browser and resembles Google Maps. This powerful tool allows you to track everything happening on your server in real time.
Key Features
The map offers numerous useful functions for server owners and players:
- Flexible map settings for each world with different display modes
- Instant updates - all changes in the world are immediately displayed on the map
- Player tracking with display of their avatars and current positions
- Chat system showing messages as balloons or in a separate window
- Two-way communication - map users can communicate with players in the game
- Display of game time and current weather conditions
- Support for protection plugins such as WorldGuard, Residence, Towny and Factions
- Modular architecture with ability to add and remove components
Installation and Setup
The installation process is extremely simple: just place the dynmap-*.jar file in the plugins or mods folder depending on the loader used. When updating, simply replace the old file - configuration data will be preserved.
First Launch
After starting the server, open the address http://your_server:8123/ in your browser (or http://localhost:8123/ for a local server). Initially the map will be black as it hasn't been rendered yet. To start displaying, use the /dynmap fullrender command in the game.
For a high-detail map, it's recommended to activate the HD renderer via the 'deftemplatesuffix: hires' setting in the configuration.txt file.
Additional Components
The system supports various additional modules, including:
- Chat balloons above players
- Two-way message exchange
- Customizable markers, areas and lines on the map
Each component can be individually configured to meet the specific needs of your server.
