EasyAutoCrafting - Automatic Crafting in Vanilla Style
The EasyAutoCrafting mod opens up new possibilities for automation in Minecraft, allowing you to create automated crafting systems using standard game blocks. An important advantage - when installed on a server, clients don't need to have the mod!
Ease of Use
Getting started with the mod is very simple - just place a crafting table next to a dropper! *Although several additional steps are required for full functionality.
A demonstration of the mod's capabilities is available in the video: https://youtu.be/ZwLmG1849W0
Two Modes of Automatic Crafting
Pattern Crafting
The simpler method is using the pattern crafting mode. To do this, place a container behind the dropper. Inside the dropper, create a pattern of items matching the recipe you want to automate.
When receiving a redstone signal, the dropper will attempt to create the specified recipe using items from the rear container. The items inside the dropper serve only as a template and are not consumed.
Immediate Crafting
The second, more advanced mode requires that there are no containers behind the dropper (hoppers also count as containers). In this mode, you fill the dropper with items sequentially, starting from the top left slot. For empty slots, filler items are used, which need to be extracted before sending the crafting signal.
This mode can be a very powerful tool if you master its use. For advanced automation, you can even replace items in the dropper in pattern mode!
Helper Functions
The mod provides useful tools for creating complex crafting systems:
- Hoppers can place only one item in each slot of crafting droppers
- Comparators connected to a crafting dropper show a signal level equal to the number of filled slots
These changes apply only to droppers touching a crafting table.
Tidy Usage
If you don't like droppers scattering items around, simply place a container in front of the dropper. In this mode, crafted items and leftovers (empty buckets, bottles) will be placed directly into the container without spilling. However, all items must fit into the output container, otherwise crafting won't occur!
The mod is inspired by the automatic crafting feature from gnembon's Carpet Mod, developing this idea and making it more useful for various usage scenarios.
