Effect Insights

About the Modification

Effect Insights is a convenient addition that displays detailed descriptions of potions and food effects directly in item tooltips. No more need to open the wiki or memorize all effects - all necessary information is available instantly when hovering the cursor.

The mod works similarly to the popular Enchantment Descriptions addon by Darkhax, but is specifically focused on potion and food effects. For effects already active on your character, simply hover over the corresponding widgets in the inventory to see their description.

All standard Minecraft effects already contain built-in descriptions. Developers also welcome adding descriptions for effects from other modifications.

Installation

Configuration

If the mod supports settings, they can be changed directly in the game through the mod menu (requires installation of Mod Menu by Prospector for Fabric). On older Minecraft versions, installation of Forge Config Screens may also be required.

For manual configuration using a text editor, all configuration files are located in the .minecraft/config folder and have names like MOD_ID-client.toml, MOD_ID-common.toml, or MOD_ID-server.toml depending on the type of settings. Not all file types may be present for a specific mod.
