Eidolon's Hexblades
Mod Overview
The Hexblades addon expands the capabilities of Elucent's Eidolon mod by adding new combat mechanics and quality-of-life improvements. This addon focuses on creating magical weapons connected to divine forces.

Magical Weapons
Inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons class, hexblades represent sentient magical weapons bound to a deity. These blades receive damage enhancement in their awakened state, which depends on the level of devotion to the deity of blades.
The awakened state can be activated by right-clicking or pressing the hotkey (default H) when the weapon has full durability. The state lasts for a limited time displayed on the durability bar. The weapon cannot break upon deactivation.
In the awakened state, the weapon deals increased damage and gains additional effects based on its elemental affiliation.
Each hexblade can evolve, but this requires defeating a powerful enemy (currently only the fire elemental is available).

Additional Features
Process Automation
Forget about manually filling cauldrons! The Urn of Endless Waters automatically fills nearby crucibles, cauldrons, and Botania's Petal Apothecary, and can also fill empty buckets. Does not interact with pipes and technical mods.

Magical Conveniences
Always forget flint and steel for rituals? The Flame chant allows you to light campfires and braziers around you on demand. Activate by using the Holy sign three times.
The Holy sign can be obtained by throwing Ars Ecclesia at a village cleric, similar to interacting with witches.
Compatibility with Other Mods
The addon supports various heat sources for crucibles: Ether (and its braziers) from Malum, Soulfire from DruidCraft, and Spiritfire from Occultism. Ether braziers can also be used as light decorations for the altar.
Campfires from other mods now also work (tested with BYG and Endergetic Expansion). Version 0.0.9+ added the hexblades:crucible_heat_source tag for configuring blocks that can boil water.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: These weapons would be awesome to use with Epic Fight mod, don't you think?
Answer: I created a preset to add to the EFm configuration, values may require balancing, but it will enable weapon category animations. Custom armor models have serious rendering issues with EF.
Question: How to get another unstable core?
Answer: In version 0.0.8+, it spawns in the boss room of temples, held by a necrotic focus. For versions 0.0.7 and below, use the hex infusion chant on a diamond (requires 30 devotion points to unlock).
Question: What is the development roadmap for this mod, aside from future Eidolon content?
Answer: Development for 1.16.5 ends with version 0.0.9. Since Eidolon development has stopped, this addon will not be developed either. In the distant future, I might remake both mods into one.
Question: Can recipes be tweaked or disabled?
Answer: Like the current Eidolon, special craftings cannot be edited with datapacks. In versions 0.0.8.5+, there is a configuration to disable all crucible and ritual craftings. You can use one of the addons that adds this functionality to tweak Hexblades recipes.
Question: Can weapon base/extra damage or devotion scaling be adjusted in the configuration?
Answer: Extra damage and most awakened form bonuses are adjustable for balancing as desired. Base damage can be tweaked from version 0.0.9 onward.
Question: Can I use it in my modpack?
Answer: According to the license, usage is permitted on CurseForge (or in private packs) without re-hosting or JAR file redistribution.
