Electric Chests

This mod completely changes the way players interact with naturally generated chests, making the process of looting them more challenging and engaging. Instead of simple opening, each chest requires completing a mini-game to access its contents.

The main goal of this modification is to hinder automated item collection by bots and prevent mass looting of chests on servers. If you attempt to break a protected chest, the electrical defense will destroy all items inside before the chest drops.

To ease the mini-game completion, you can use Safety Pliers - a special tool that significantly reduces the time required to open protected containers.

You can configure chest opening difficulty through the configuration file. Note that time is measured in ticks - every 20 units in the configuration increases opening time by 1 second.

The mod was created following negative experiences with bot usage on the author's servers. However, instead of implementing simple restrictions, the developer decided to add a new interesting gameplay element to village exploration.
