Enchant Scrolls
The Enchant Scrolls mod completely overhauls the standard enchanting system in Minecraft, replacing regular enchanted books with special enchantment scrolls.
New Enchanting System
Instead of traditional enchanted books, enchantment scrolls are now used, which can be found in loot chests or obtained from villagers. To apply enchantments, simply hold the item in your main hand and the scroll in your off-hand. While an anvil is no longer required, items must now be pre-treated with magic powder (configurable).
Each enchantment has a specific success chance depending on the spell's rank and rarity, whether it's a treasure, available from traders, whether it's a curse, and the enchantment level (all parameters are configurable). The results of applying each scroll may vary - some enchantments may succeed, others may fail.

Magic Powders
Magic powders are necessary to prepare items for enchanting. The basic recipe is simple but requires lapis lazuli, coal, redstone, and quartz. There are improved versions of powders that increase the chance of successful enchanting:
- Basic: no bonuses
- Blessed: +1% flat bonus, +10% base multiplier
- Elite: +2% flat bonus, +15% base multiplier
- Ancient: +5% flat bonus, +20% base multiplier
Advanced versions include Harmonious, Corrupt, Scorched, and Divine powders with unique characteristics.
Enchanting Stars
After defeating the Wither and obtaining a Nether Star, you can create Enchanting Stars.

Main star types:
- Regular: enhances item enchantability influence, has 100 charges
- Absorption: removes curses from items
- Voiding: removes all enchantments from an item
- Protection: prevents losses from failed enchanting
- Recovery: restores item durability
Scroll Fragments
Scroll fragments can be found in loot or obtained from catalysts. They are used to create full enchantment scrolls. Fragments can be combined in an anvil or turned into scrolls using leather.
Catalysts
Catalysts are applied to the enchantment scrolls themselves and come in four quality tiers. Main types:
- Protego: protects against loss of enchantments and durability
- Restauro: restores item durability
- Immolо: increases success chance at the cost of durability
- Faveo: increases base success chances
- Servo: preserves magic powder
- Promovo: enhances enchantment levels
- Dirgo: guarantees application of scroll level
Compatibility
The mod is compatible with Ancient Tomes from Quark, supports displaying enchantment descriptions from relevant mods. Works with most mods that add enchanted books to villager trading. Regular enchanted book functionality can be disabled in settings.
Planned Updates
- Ability to use scrolls on already enchanted items
