Enchanting Plus
The Enchanting Plus mod gives players complete control over item enchantments, but this capability comes at the cost of significantly more experience points.
How to Use the Mod?
After installing the mod and its dependencies, you will gain access to the advanced enchanting table. This table can be crafted on a workbench or by using a special item to convert an existing enchanting table into the advanced version. To interact with the advanced table, simply right-click on it.
In the advanced table interface, the top section contains a slot for the item you wish to enchant. Once an item is placed there, the central area will display a list of all available enchantments. If there are more than four enchantments, you can use the scroll bar to navigate. Moving the slider to the right increases the enchantment level, while moving it to the left decreases it. A green background indicates that the enchantment is available, and a red background means it cannot be applied. Enchantments typically become unavailable due to conflicts with already selected effects, for example, Silk Touch is incompatible with Fortune.
The cost of enchanting changes based on the selected parameters. Instead of levels, the mod uses experience points. The player's current experience points and the enchanting cost are shown in the information box in the top left corner. You can also find helpful tips on using the mod there. To apply enchantments to the item, click the enchanted book button when you have enough experience points.
Curses and Treasures
Some enchantments in the game are classified as curses or treasures. They are not available under normal conditions and require special circumstances to activate.
Curses, such as Curse of Binding, can only be applied around midnight during a full moon. The player has four real-time minutes to work with curses—two before and two after in-game midnight. To check if it is midnight, look at the moon: if it is directly above the player, it is likely midnight. Full moons occur once every seven days in Minecraft. You can verify the conditions are met by standing close to the table: if candles with purple smoke appear around it, all conditions are satisfied.
Currently, treasures are not available through the advanced table. Plans are in place to add this feature, but a suitable method for its implementation has not yet been determined.
Configuration
The mod offers numerous settings that allow you to adjust the cost of enchantments in experience points, as well as ban specific enchantments or items from being used in the advanced table. Additional configuration parameters are planned for the future.
Mod Compatibility
The mod fully supports all enchantments added to the game, including those from other mods. If an enchantment from another mod is not working correctly, it should be reported as an issue.
CraftTweaker
The mod has special support for CraftTweaker. You can use ZenScript to make changes to the mod's configuration.
mods.eplus.Eplus.blacklistItem(IItemStack item);— allows you to ban an item.mods.eplus.Eplus.blacklistEnchantment(IEnchantment enchantment);— allows you to ban an enchantment.
JEI - Just Enough Items
The mod supports integration with Just Enough Items. When viewing the uses of items or blocks added by this mod, the information tab will provide a brief description of their functions.
