Better Chiseled Bookshelf
This mod significantly enhances the functionality of chiseled bookshelves in Minecraft, turning them into powerful enchantment boosters. Each book on the shelf now increases enchantment power, with a fully loaded shelf functioning as a regular enhancer but with additional capabilities.
A particularly valuable feature is that enchanted books provide double the power compared to regular ones, making them strategically important for creating powerful enchanted items.
Compatibility and Integration
The mod is fully compatible with Easy Magic and Jade, as well as with Enchantment disabler for version 1.21.5 and above. This ensures smooth integration into existing mod packs.
Enchantment Table Settings
- Particle Spawn Chance: Adjusts the frequency of visual effects appearance (client-side only)
- Shelf Obstruction Type: Defines which blocks obstruct shelf effects - only full blocks, default Minecraft settings, or no obstructions
- Maximum Shelf Distance: Sets the search radius for shelves around the enchantment table (values above 10 may cause lag)
- Maximum Shelf Height: Determines the vertical search range for shelves (also not recommended to exceed 10 blocks)
- Search for Shelves Below: Allows searching for shelves both above and below the enchantment table
Redstone Settings
- Redstone Output Modification: When activated, the comparator outputs a signal corresponding to the number of books on the shelf rather than the last interaction
- Regular Book Power: Configures the redstone signal level for regular books
- Enchanted Book Power: Determines the redstone signal strength for enchanted books
Book Power Settings
- Base Regular Book Power: Sets the base power value for each regular book
- Enchanted Book Multiplier: Allows using a multiplier for enchanted books relative to regular ones
- Multiplication Coefficient: The multiplier value for enchanted books
- Custom Enchanted Book Power: Alternative setting for establishing a fixed value for enchanted book power
Important Information for Forge Users
The mod will not receive further updates for Forge and is transitioning to NeoForge support. This is due to the lack of Architectury API updates for Forge and incompatibility of the used Config API with newer Forge versions.
