Enchantment Disabler

Enchantment Disabler is a modification for Fabric and NeoForge that allows disabling enchantments specified in the configuration, preventing their appearance in the game.

The mod does not remove enchantments from the game's registry, but blocks their addition to tools, armor, and enchanted books from loot chests, villager trading, and the enchanting table. This creates the effect of playing without these enchantments. This approach is safe and compatible with most mods, unlike completely removing enchantments.

Disabling enchantments does not affect already obtained items - enchanted items created before installing the mod will remain unchanged.

Disabled enchantments are also hidden from creative mode and EMI and REI interfaces.

The mod includes additional settings that are disabled by default and fully configurable:

  • Limiting the maximum level for each enchantment
  • Limiting the number of uses for trading enchanted books and items with villagers
  • Complete disabling of restocking for enchanted books and items from villagers
  • Complete disabling of the enchanting table
  • Limiting the number of bookshelves that the enchanting table can use
  • Changing the amount of lapis lazuli and experience levels required for enchanting items (requires installing the mod on the client for correct cost display)
  • Setting a limit on the strength of enchantments on found equipment

Requirements

Fabric version requires Fabric API and Fzzy Config. ModMenu is required for accessing in-game configuration.

NeoForge version requires Fzzy Config and Kotlin for Forge. In-game configuration is accessible through the built-in mods menu.

Version Support

  • 3.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21+ is the current active and supported version.
  • Older versions are not supported.
