Enchiridion v3: Modern Book System
The third version of the mod is designed for Minecraft 1.8.9 and 1.9.0 and represents a completely redesigned book creation and management system. The main focus is on book functions, with the unused encyclopedia removed.
The library has been transformed into an analogue of a book binder, but with an important difference - books are tied to the player, not to an item. The system offers storage for up to 65 books that need to be acquired rather than obtained for free.
Enhanced Book Editor
The editor has been completely redesigned with jump functions replaced by a full button editor. Now you can edit element behavior when hovering and the actions they perform, including opening web pages. Layers are moved by dragging and can be locked or hidden.
The editor is equipped with a timeline for moving and adding pages, a grid for precise element positioning. Moving multiple elements with Ctrl+click is supported, as well as copying and pasting between pages and books.
For items and recipes, you can hide or show tooltips for each element separately. Changing book backgrounds and icons has been simplified, and deleting pages has become much easier.
Library and Synchronization
The mod includes a standard book with function explanations for quick mastery of the editor. Settings include an option for synchronizing books between server and client, which is disabled by default and requires activation on both sides.
Template Creation and Sharing
Starting from version 3.1.0+, the ability to create and save templates has been added. Users can share created templates and full books dedicated to specific mods.
Enchiridion v2: Extended Functionality
The second version represents not a replacement but an addition to the original mod. The main improvement is the built-in book editor, significantly simplifying the creation process.
Minecraftopedia
The encyclopedia system, inspired by Civilopedia from Civilization 5, is designed for documenting mods directly in the game. Navigating through articles is more convenient compared to flipping through book pages.
Universal Library
The library automatically fills with informational books from various mods. Books can be opened directly from the library page without the need to carry them, saving inventory slots.
Custom Book Editing
The encyclopedia contains pre-installed articles about using the editor and creating custom books. To open the encyclopedia, use the H key (by default).
Enchiridion v1: Book System Basics
Originally developed as part of Mariculture, the mod allows loading custom books from ZIP files in configurations. An ideal solution for modpack creators and developers wanting to provide players with detailed information about their mods.
Book Binder
The book binder is an item capable of storing up to 21 mod books. Portable and lightweight, it's crafted with a simple recipe: 2 string and 2 paper. To use, simply open the interface with a right click, place mod guides inside, and open them directly from the interface.
The mod provides a standalone API for developers wanting to create their own books. The system continues to evolve with plans to expand functionality related to books and guides.
