Ender Zoo
Creatures of Ender Zoo
Enderminies
These miniature creatures spawn in small groups in forested and swampy areas. Despite their friendly nature, they have a particular dislike for creepers. Although enderminies are small, they can deliver a serious blow if provoked. They protect their nearby brethren and can teleport when taking damage. Upon death, they drop ender pearls or ender fragments, which can be combined to create pearls or used in charge crafting.
Fallen Knight
Fallen knights return to fight in long-forgotten battles. They can be found armed with swords or bows, though they prefer swords in close combat. They typically spawn on open plains where battles once took place, often mounted on their undead steeds.
Fallen Steed
These fearsome mounts are only found with fallen knights. A knight on horseback poses a serious threat as it charges at high speed. A mounted archer presents a different challenge - retreating to maintain distance while raining arrows on the target.
Concussion Creeper
This creeper type doesn't create explosions or kill enemies, but can cause serious headaches. When killed, it may drop gunpowder, confusing powder, or ender fragments.
Wither Witch
The wither witch has mastered the secrets of the wither, gaining knowledge to brew the most sinister potions. Although their methods are unknown, defeating one of these evil creatures may give the victor the ability to create such potions themselves.
Wither Witch's Cat
These cute companions of wither witches become angry and aggressive if you attack their owner.
Dire Wolf
Dire wolves live in small packs in snow-covered forests. They typically ignore visitors to their domain, but you shouldn't approach too close to these powerful creatures.
Owl
Owls are found in warm forests and along rivers. They particularly enjoy eating spiders and observing the world from high vantage points. Their eggs can be used to brew potions of rising.
Enchantments and Potions
Ender Zoo adds "Withering" (for bows) and "Decay" (for swords) enchantments. When hitting a target, these weapons apply the withering effect for five seconds.
With the mod installed, you can also create:
- Potions of decay using withering powder dropped by wither witches
- Potions of nausea using confusing powder dropped by concussion creepers
- Potions of rising using owl eggs
Blocks and Items
The mod adds three new "TNT" variants: confusing charge, ender charge, and concussion charge. When detonated, the confusing charge causes confusion effect in all players within blast radius. The closer the player is to the explosion, the longer the effect lasts. This doesn't affect mobs. The ender charge randomly teleports players and mobs to nearby locations. The concussion charge combines both effects.
Complete Spawn Control
Ender Zoo adds an XML file that can be used to configure the spawning of any creatures - both vanilla and modded. You can change spawn rates, biomes where creatures appear, or remove them completely. See SpawnConfig_Core.xml in the config/enderzoo folder for details.
Global Difficulty Control
The mod allows modifying damage and health of all creatures based on current difficulty level. These changes can be applied to Ender Zoo creatures, all others, or both types. See the configuration file for details.
Mod Pack Permissions
Ender Zoo has been released into the public domain. You own it as much as I do. Do whatever you want.
