Enemy Echelons
Enemy Echelons is a modification that assigns levels to mobs and modifies their attributes based on the altitude at which they spawn in the world. This is a vanilla+ mob progression mod that operates on a similar principle to Champions and Sliding Health.
The core concept is to create a system where enemies become progressively more challenging as you delve deeper underground. The settings allow you to increase difficulty both when descending downward and when ascending upward, or even in both directions. The mod works most effectively in dimensions with clear terrain transitions, but it can be adapted to any game environment.
Echelons
An echelon represents a set of attribute modifiers for specific dimensions and mob types. Each echelon consists of strata - height ranges with minimum and maximum Y-axis values. Within each stratum, a level histogram is defined, determining the probability of assigning a particular level to a mob upon its appearance.
Levels
When a mob spawns, it is assigned a level that affects the modification of its characteristics: health, damage, speed, and other parameters.
Configuration
The mod offers extensive customization options: you can set any number of levels and configure the corresponding attribute modifiers for each of them.
