Engineer's Doors
The Engineer's Doors mod expands construction possibilities by adding various doors, trapdoors, and fence gates made from Immersive Engineering materials. This add-on requires the main IE mod to be installed.
Main Features
Three types of construction elements are added from various materials:
- Doors made of concrete, steel, and treated wood with decorative "ornate" and "reinforced" variants
- Trapdoors made of concrete, steel, and treated wood
- Fence gates made of aluminum, steel, and treated wood
All crafting recipes are analogous to vanilla versions of corresponding blocks, and variants are cycled similarly to IE scaffolding.
Functional Features
Steel doors and trapdoors are activated by redstone only by default, but can be configured to allow manual opening as well. Manual steel doors are compatible with Quark's double-door opening feature (if Quark is installed and the feature is enabled).
Trapdoors work better than vanilla ones when used with ladders: open trapdoors with ladders below them function as full ladders, unlike vanilla trapdoors that only recognize standard ladders. IE and Quark ladders are supported, as well as ladders from other mods that inherit from the BlockLadder class.
In IE villages, the engineer's house uses treated wood doors instead of oak doors (if the structure is active in IE). Treated wood doors are recognized as "village doors".
Technical Details
The mod's textures are based on original Immersive Engineering textures by Damien A. W. "Hazard" in accordance with the IE license that allows texture reuse in add-ons.
