Enhanced Threshold Switch

The Enhanced Threshold Switch is a modification that significantly improves the operation of mechanical bearings in the Create series mods. It is only required on the server side and does not affect the client version of the game.

The main function of this modification is to provide accurate tracking of the rotation angle of mechanical bearings. Standard redstone contacts are often unreliable because they need to be placed on the outside of structures to get accurate readings. The solution to this problem is based on using NBT data that stores the current rotation angle of the bearing - they were marked as observable and given corresponding values.

An important improvement was the increase in the update frequency of the threshold switch when connected to a mechanical bearing. Instead of one update every 10 ticks, it now updates every tick, allowing precise position tracking and avoiding the need to significantly slow down the rotation speed to get adequate positional data.

Visually, the threshold switch looks aesthetically pleasing during movement, smoothly updating its readings.

At speeds around 128 RPM, position updates may become less stable. When exceeding this value, do not expect accurate tracking for ranges below 25%.

The author plans to expand the mod's functionality by adding support for mechanical pistons and other devices in future updates.
