Epic Fight - Give Me a Dual Greatsword
What is this mod?
This is a small add-on that restores the ability to use the dual greatsword combat style from "Epic Fight - Dual Greatsword By Reascer" in new versions of Epic Fight where the original mod doesn't work.
Version compatibility:
- Mods labeled "Legacy" are designed for Epic Fight versions 20.9.7 and below
- Versions without this prefix are compatible with Epic Fight 20.10.2 and above
Installation Process
After downloading this mod and the required "Lazy Utilities" add-on version 2.1.6 or higher, a special directory is automatically created in the mods folder: "Lazy Utilities/epicfight"
Important note: It is essential to place the "Epic Fight - Dual Greatsword" file by Reascer into this specific folder. If not done, the current mod will not function correctly, although basic capabilities may remain.
File addition options:
- Files can be added even during gameplay, but their activation will require executing a restart command. Keep in mind that this may require significant resources and doesn't always work perfectly.
Mod Loading Status
Successful Loading
During the first launch or after configuration changes, a special panel is displayed. If everything proceeds normally, the system reports that all settings are correct.
Resource Loading Order Check
The proper sequence of resource pack loading is critically important for normal operation. Here's an example of correct and incorrect configurations:

Missing Required Files
This screen appears if the required file is not installed or has been modified (including extension changes, internal content modifications, or deletion of the mods.toml file from the JAR archive). In such situations, animations and core functions will not work.
Note: If the mod was manually installed, this message can be ignored.
Fixable Write Errors
If a file is corrupted due to write errors (typically with disk access speed issues), an option appears to restart the builder. The left button allows rewriting all files from scratch.
Critical Failures
In case of serious system errors, loading is interrupted by an exception, and the game terminates. In such situations, the continue button is typically unavailable.
Management Commands
If the file was added before game launch, the following commands can be used:
/lazy-utilities epicfight-utilities addons-client build— standard rebuild/lazy-utilities epicfight-utilities addons-client rebuild— more precise restart
After command execution, forced resource reload (F3+T) may be required.

Skill Book: Adds the passive ability "Dual Greatsword," allowing you to use one sword in each hand after learning it

Category Modification: Alters the "Greatsword" category in Epic Fight, ensuring immediate compatibility without using datapacks

New Category: Introduces the "Efu Dual Greatsword" section with an extended set of three attacks for one-handed mode (compared to two in the original), while the dual sword mode remains identical

About Game Balance
Does falling from a height increase damage from aerial slash?
Currently — no. Although the developer considered making the attack similar to (but a weakened version of) the mace from new Minecraft versions, they prefer to avoid overly powerful abilities.
The possibility of activating this effect through a special skill book is being studied. This would bring the mechanics closer to the functionality of the mace in current game versions.
