Epic Paragliders [FORK]
About the Fork
This is a fork of the original Epic Paragliders mod, created solely to fix compatibility issues with the latest versions of Epic Fight and Paragliders mods. No new content has been added in this version.
Epic Paragliders
This modification serves as compatibility between two popular mods, integrating the stamina system from Paragliders into the combat mechanics of Epic Fight. The code is based on developments from both teams, so credit is due to the creators of the original mods. Many hours were spent ensuring these two mods work together correctly, as their combination offers unique gameplay opportunities.
Required Mods
Installation requires:
- Epic Fight
- Paragliders
Installation
Simply download the mod along with the specified dependencies and place them in the mods folder.
Configuration
Configuration File
The mod creates a configuration file at 'saves/YOUR_WORLD_NAME/serverconfig/epicparaglider-server.toml', which allows:
- Customizing the amount of stamina consumed by different Epic Fight weapon types. By default, consumption is calculated based on weapon damage and the multiplier from the configuration. For example, an iron sword will consume 6 × 2.5 (default multiplier for swords) = 15 stamina units.
- Editing status effects and their strength when the player's stamina is completely depleted. Two lists in square brackets [ ] allow adding effect IDs and setting their power (default is 1 if not specified).
New Animations
Thanks to bstylia, creator of the DawnCraft modpack, exhaustion animations have been added to the mod, which activate when the player's stamina is completely depleted.
Skill Changes
Epic Fight skills have been reworked for integration with the Paragliders stamina system:
Attacks: Basic and special attacks now consume stamina depending on weapon swing time and its damage. More powerful and slower weapons require more stamina.
Guard: Stamina consumption when blocking depends on the player's armor weight (heavier armor reduces consumption), enemy attack strength, and penalty for consecutive blocks. Penalties for multiple blocks have been reduced in favor of overall increased block costs.
Active Guard: This blocking type focuses on parrying attacks. Previously, successful parrying had no stamina penalty. Now, proper blocking consumes 35% stamina, while regular blocking adds an extra 35%. This creates a risk-reward balance, making the skill effective against single enemies but less useful in group battles.
Dodge: Stamina consumption depends on armor weight — heavy armor increases costs.
Stamina Pillager: When killing an entity, restores approximately 30% of missing stamina. If an action is consuming stamina at the moment of kill, the costs are reduced. When restoring more stamina than being consumed, or when no stamina is being used, the stamina wheel section turns blue, showing the gain.
Technician: Does not completely cancel stamina consumption when dodging before an enemy attack, but reduces it by 50%.
