Etcetera - Collection of Various Improvements

Etcetera is a collection of diverse additions for Minecraft that organically fit into the original game mechanics. The mod offers a wide range of content - from decorative elements to functional tools and storage systems.

The mod is being developed simultaneously for Fabric and Forge. Porting to older game versions is not planned.

New Materials and Tools

Bismuth - a rare mineral mined in the Nether. When mined, it provides experience similar to quartz, but its main purpose is creating decorative elements and useful tools. Bismuth blocks slowly change color over time, and ingots allow applying this iridescent effect to standard game blocks. Bismuth is also used to craft:

• Chisel - turns blocks into their carved versions or removes the iridescent effect
• Hammer - used in combat or for breaking blocks
• Wrench - allows modifying block states in a limited manner

Functional Items

Handbell - attracts pets and allays, giving them the glowing effect

Drum - a block that produces various sounds depending on the underlying block and hit location

Dice - a compact randomizer for redstone

Frame - an auxiliary block for construction that can be replaced without breaking

Storage and Decor Systems

Prickly Can - a cactus container with instant item deletion function

Bouquet - a decorative element made from small flowers for placement in pots and vases

Vase - removes the offset of blocks placed on top for perfect decoration

Item Stand - similar to an item frame but in the center of a block, with glass protection capability

Squid Lamp - a bright light source, especially effective underwater

Armor and Transportation

Tidal Helmet - an improved version of the turtle helmet with conduit power and increased durability

Turtle Raft - a single-passenger boat that can be dyed like leather armor, resistant to water currents

Building Materials

Crumbling Stone - gradually breaks down from impact but can be protected with wax

Light Bulbs - adjustable light sources with brightness control

New Mobs and Agriculture

Chapples - lay apples instead of eggs, golden versions have a chance to drop golden apples

Cotton - a new crop for creating clothing, string, and wool

Cotton Clothes - 16 color variants without armor stats but with unique models

Compatibility Tags

The mod adds several system tags to improve interaction with other modifications:

• villager_can_pickup - items that villagers can pick up
• hammerable and chisellable - blocks that can be processed with hammer and chisel
• non_modifiable - blocks that cannot be modified with a wrench
• offset_remover - blocks that remove the offset of other blocks
• Tags for colored variants of various materials
