Euphonium

About the Modification

Euphonium is a fork of the Charmonium mod that brings back functionality from older versions. This project adds atmospheric sounds to Minecraft that perfectly complement the game's vanilla aesthetic.

Main Features

The modification enriches the game world with various ambient sounds that change depending on the biome, terrain features, and surrounding structures. All sound effects are carefully selected to harmoniously blend with Minecraft's original atmosphere.

The volume level of ambient sounds can be adjusted through the standard "Ambient Sounds" slider in the game settings.

Configuration

Mod configuration is handled through the config/euphonium.toml file, where the following parameters are available:

• Sound channel selection
• Volume multiplier for world ambient sounds
• Enable/disable various types of atmospheric effects
• Settings for cave sounds based on light levels

Technical Features

This project is a fork of Charmonium 6.0 - an excellent rewrite of the mod by svenhjol. Unlike the original, Euphonium uses completely redesigned build scripts and has abandoned Charmony in favor of the Kaleido configuration system with toml format support.

For maximum atmospheric immersion, it's recommended to combine this mod with Presence Footsteps, creating deeper and more realistic sound accompaniment.

Compatibility

For the mod to work on the (neo)forge platform, installation of Connector and FFAPI is required.
