Everlasting Abilities
Permanent Abilities for Your Character
Imagine being able to possess various superpowers without carrying potions, special armor, or tools. The Everlasting Abilities mod makes this possible by providing you with permanent abilities that persist even after death and don't require carrying specific items.
Starting Your Journey
When you first spawn in a world, you'll receive an Ability Bottle with a random ability.

Right-clicking this bottle opens a window where you can transfer the ability to your character.

Moving abilities to your character requires a certain amount of experience, while returning them to the bottle gives you back that experience. Each ability has a maximum level, so don't try to get 20 levels of speed...

Death and Loot Mechanics
If you die at the hands of another player, you lose one random ability. This ability drops as an Ability Totem that the other player can pick up and use for themselves. (This behavior can be changed in the configuration file)

Ability totems with random abilities can be found in loot chests.

Some mobs also drop abilities. These mobs can be identified by the particles around them - the color of the effects shows the rarity of their ability.

Starting from version 1.3.0, leftover totems can be recycled by combining 3 of them in a crafting grid to produce a new random totem. The rarity of the input totems will affect the rarity of the output totem.
Configuration and Customization
Every ability can be disabled and modified using custom datapacks. For modpack creators, information is available on creating custom recipes for totems and bottles.
The mod collects anonymous startup data that can be disabled in the configuration file and adheres to Minecraft's tracking settings.
