Ex Nihilo 2
The return of the legendary mod for survival in the void! This version is fundamentally different from the previous one, offering a completely new approach to creating resources from nothing.
Current Development Status
The mod is in alpha testing stage, which means:
- Many features are not yet implemented
- Errors and instability are possible
- Content may change at any time
Main Features
World Generation System Built-in template system creates empty worlds and skyblock-style maps. By default, the map is based on Skyblock 2.1 by Noobcrew, but three original maps from the first version of Ex Nihilo are also available. You can create your own map templates for the Overworld, Nether, and End using JSON files.
Resource Processing Tools
- Composting: creating dirt, coarse dirt (from zombie flesh), podzol (from leaves), grass (from golden apples), and mycelium (from ghast tears)
- Collecting rainwater to obtain water and create clay
- Hammers: crushing cobblestone into gravel, sand, and dust
- Sieves: sifting various blocks to obtain resources
- Crooks: controlling mobs and animals, increasing drop rates from leaves and grass
Alchemical Processes
- Adding a severed head or skull to a water barrel creates slime
- Mixing redstone with lava produces netherrack
- Mixing glowstone with lava creates end stone
- Creating black emeralds that can be transmuted into diamonds through explosion
Additional Mechanics

- Combining slimeballs and string creates cobwebs
- Black slimeballs turn into coal when smelted
- Porcelain buckets for working with liquids before obtaining metals
- Spores from mycelium create witch water or turn cows into mooshrooms
