ExPetrum

Minecraft is fundamentally a fantasy game. It features dragons, potions, enchantments, creepers, and many other magical elements. But what if the game was designed as a simulation of real life? What if Minecraft became realistic? If you needed devices and mechanisms based on real-world technologies to smelt your first piece of iron instead of the "universal furnace"? That's exactly what ExPetrum is for.

This mod aims to make Minecraft extremely realistic. Trees require an axe to chop down and actually fall. Seasons fundamentally change your perspective on the game. Smelting metals becomes a complex task requiring mechanisms based on real technologies. Water is finite. And this is just the beginning.

At the same time, ExPetrum offers a challenging but not tedious approach to progression. Journey through ages, invent, build, create. From crafting stone tools to smelting steel in a blast furnace—this mod will keep you engaged. And all this is just the start...

Think of it as a new way to play the game. The way our ancestors did things in ancient times. ExPetrum draws inspiration from real life and the methods used by ancient peoples.

As stated in the description, ExPetrum strives to make the game as realistic as possible while maintaining an engaging progression system. In ExPetrum, you'll start as a cave dweller scavenging for food and water. Exploring the world, you'll find rocks that you can use to create your first fragile yet effective stone tools.

Finding ore isn't as challenging as in similar mods thanks to surface hints. Then you'll use ceramics to smelt your first copper. A bit later, you'll create the first bronze alloys in a crucible and forge them into tools at an anvil. Using a bloomery, you'll produce your first iron. With that iron, you'll be able to create the first devices using rotational power to perform work. Then you'll use that power to produce steel in your own blast furnace.

Everything is accurate and realistic: alloy compositions, melting temperatures, food spoilage, metal properties, and much more.
