Extra Alchemy

This mod expands Minecraft's standard potion system by adding numerous useful new variants. All recipes can be found in-game using tools like JEI.

System Requirements

Requires an up-to-date version of Fabric API.

Compatibility with Other Mods

With Trinkets installed, rings will function in the appropriate equipment slot
With Pehkui, potions for changing character size are added
Inventorio mod inventory is supported
Patchouli book is available (in development, obtainable in creative mode)
NoMoreGlowingPotions is recommended for proper potion color display

Potion Features

Each potion recipe can be individually disabled in settings. All potions are brewed in the standard brewing stand using regular items and have splash, lingering, and arrow variants. Some can be enhanced with redstone or glowstone.

Brewing Stand Enhancement

Added an alternative to blaze powder - the stand can now be powered by fire or lava beneath it. The process is slower but more logical. Blaze powder still works. Heat sources and conductive materials are configured through extraalchemy:heat_source and extraalchemy:heat_conductor tags.

Glass Vials

Vials are a stackable potion system. Create a vial by combining a splash potion with an empty vial, or right-click an empty vial on a potion in inventory. Effect applies instantly, vials stack up to 16. Empty vial recipe: glass bottle in bottom slots, flint in top center.

Potion Bag

Convenient storage for carrying potions. Can store any potions and select one type for quick access. Shift+RMB opens interface, simple RMB uses potion or switches to next when current runs out. Behavior when empty configurable via hotkeys. Bags can be dyed like leather armor.

Potion Rings

Rings provide semi-permanent potion effects. Created by combining empty ring with any standard potion. Each potion has customizable XP cost, duration, and renewal time. New rings can be created through recipe system.
