Extended block shapes
This modification significantly expands building possibilities in Minecraft by adding various block shapes that are missing in the standard version of the game.
Main Features
New Block Types
The mod introduces numerous additional variants for standard blocks. You can now create stairs, slabs, fences, gates, buttons, and pressure plates for most vanilla materials. Particularly interesting are vertical slabs, vertical stairs, quarter pieces, and their vertical counterparts - elements that were missing in the original game.
All new blocks support water interaction, just like their standard counterparts. The hardness and mining time for stairs, slabs, fences, and walls correspond to the base blocks, rather than depending on their volume.
Material Properties
Different block types retain the characteristics of their source materials:
- Wool and planks - flammable materials with burning parameters identical to full blocks
- Wooden elements can be used as fuel with proportional burning time
- Wool blocks completely block sculk sensor signals
- Netherrack supports infinite burning
- Copper blocks oxidize and can be protected with wax
- Gold blocks attract piglins
Crafting and Processing
Crafting recipes are intuitive and follow vanilla logic. Stone and metal blocks can be processed in stonecutters. The ability to transform between horizontal and vertical block variants makes building more flexible.
Compatibility and Settings
The mod works on Minecraft versions from 1.16.5 to 1.21 and requires Fabric API installation. For convenient configuration, Mod Menu is recommended but not required.
In versions above 1.19.3, new blocks are automatically added to standard item groups. For earlier versions, sorting settings are available through the mod configuration.
Compatibility with Other Mods
When Blockus mod is installed, an additional extension is available that adds new shapes for blocks from that mod.
