EZ Pipes and Stuff (EZPaS) - Simple Pipes and Mechanisms
What This Is
EZPaS (pronounced "ez-pis") adds convenient and easy-to-use pipes and mechanisms to Minecraft for automating item transportation.
Basic Usage
To create a basic transportation system, place a puller pipe next to a chest with the arrow on the pipe facing away from the chest. Then connect the puller pipe to another chest using regular pipes. If you connect multiple chests, the system will operate using round-robin distribution, evenly distributing items among all connected containers.
Advanced Features
Pipe probes allow you to view information about your system. Right-click on any puller pipe to see connected containers with details about connection side, priority, distance, and configured filters.
Colored pipes can be used instead of regular pipes. They only connect with pipes of the same color, regular pipes, and containers.
Rigid pipes are suitable only for connecting with other pipes and do NOT connect directly to containers.
Dense pipes increase the priority of connected containers. All containers connected after a dense pipe receive a higher priority level. The system first fills containers with the lowest priority, then moves to the next levels.
Filtered pipes are available in two versions: whitelist and blacklist. Using a pipe probe, you can open the advanced filter settings where you can configure various parameters: filter persistence, mod origin matching, item tag matching, NBT data matching, and others.
It's important to note that in this system, pipes work on the principle of water flow. Items "flow" out of puller pipes and move through the system, choosing paths of least resistance (without gravity).
Puller Pipe Specifications
- Iron Pipe: 1 item every 12 ticks (1.67 items per second)
- Gold Pipe: 1 item every 6 ticks (3.33 items per second)
- Diamond Pipe: 4 items every tick (80 items per second)
- Ender Pipe: 64 items every 10 ticks (up to 128 items per second)
- Netherite Pipe: 64 items every tick (1280 items per second)
The ender pipe may work slower in some situations compared to other pipes. It's optimal for moving large quantities of identical items (that stack together), while the diamond pipe is better suited for extracting different items that don't stack together.
