Fabric Seasons - Seasons in Minecraft
Fabric Seasons mod introduces four seasons to the game, which alternate every 28 in-game days (this value can be changed in settings). The current season is determined by world time (using the command /time set 0 resets the count to the first day of spring). Each season brings its own changes: in spring, biomes tend to maintain their original characteristics.
The mod consists of two components:
- Server component: When installed on the server, biomes receive different temperatures. This enables weather changes such as snowfall and block freezing in winter. The server component also includes seasonal farming, where crop growth speed depends on the time of year.
- Client component: When installed on the client, biomes change color schemes according to the current season. This is purely a visual change that does not affect the physical state of the world.
For full immersion, it is recommended to install the mod on both the server and the client.
Seasonal Biome Changes
Biome temperatures vary depending on the current season:
- Cold biomes receive rain in summer
- Temperate biomes are covered with snow in winter
- Tropical biomes maintain stable weather year-round
- Hot biomes experience a rainy season in winter
Behavior may change depending on the original temperature and precipitation of the biome.

Seasonal Farming
Agricultural crop growth speed changes depending on the current season.

Each individual crop has a pre-configured growth speed for one of the four seasons. This is managed through a datapack and can be modified by the user if needed.
