Fallen Meteors
Overview
This modification introduces falling meteors (work in progress) that crash from the sky onto the ground, causing significant terrain damage. Each meteor type has unique characteristics that affect the scale of destruction upon impact.
Meteors spawn in various sizes - the larger the object, the more resources it contains and the more severe the damage to the surrounding area. All materials added by this mod do not exist as ore and can only be obtained from these celestial visitors.
Textures in the mod are temporary. If you are an artist and willing to help create textures for the mod, contact the developer.
Features
Meteor Types
Planned addition of 8 meteor types (currently three are available, highlighted in bold):
- Meteorium Meteor
- Freezerium Meteor
- Vulcanium Meteor
- Vitairite Meteor
- Neutarite Meteor
- Unknown Meteor
- Strange Meteor
- Treasure Meteor
Available meteors can be summoned using the /summon command or by throwing their respective summoner item.
Unknown Meteor contains random minerals and loot, and also spawns random mobs. Strange Meteor usually provides a warning before its appearance. Treasure Meteor is rich in valuable resources.
Minerals and Equipment
5 new exotic minerals obtainable only from meteor remains:
- Meteorium
- Freezerium
- Vulcanium
- Vitairite
- Neutarite
3 new armor and tool sets (Freezerium and Vulcanium are evolutionary upgrades from Meteorium).

Interactive Blocks
Smithing Station - used for crafting items too complex for an ordinary anvil. Currently lacks internal storage.
Construction Workbench - designed for crafting complex items. Equipped with built-in storage.
Cryogenic Atomic Adiabatic Demagnetizer (in development) - primary tool for creating freezerium ingots. Capable of freezing items to their core.
Vitairite Irradiator - used for creating vulcanium ingots. Heats items to extreme temperatures. Can serve as an alternative to blast furnace, smelting resources in 10 ticks with sixfold output (1 iron ore = 6 iron ingots). Only supports recipes compatible with blast furnace.

Note: current recipes in the mod are test versions intended to verify the functionality of blocks with recipes.
This actively developing modification is based on the original Falling Meteors mod.
