Fastload
Fastload is an optimization mod that fundamentally changes the world loading process in Minecraft, significantly speeding it up. Instead of the standard approach that wastes time on pre-generating large numbers of chunks, Fastload uses a more efficient strategy.
How it works
The mod completely reworks the 441 chunk loading system, which by default generates a square area with a 10-chunk radius. Instead, Fastload loads only the starting chunk, with the remaining chunks of the spawn region being loaded during the early rendering phase.
Additionally, the mod replaces standard loading screens with its own implementation, allowing rendering to begin immediately without waiting for the player spawn packet.
Key features
- 441 chunk loading optimization: Completely reworked system that synchronizes chunk generation with their rendering
- Configurable loading screens: Ability to cancel loading screens (configurable)
- Pre-rendering phase: Pre-rendering phase (configurable)
Compatibility and recommendations
The mod can be used on both client and server (optional). For maximum efficiency, it's recommended to use alongside:
- C2ME: optimizes chunk generation
- Sodium: optimizes chunk rendering
