
FlashFyre's Enchantments
This mod adds balanced enchantments for various weapon types, armor, and saddles to Minecraft, with extensive customization options to suit your preferences.
Weapon Enchantments
Butchering
- Type: Axe
- Maximum Level: 3
- Deals increased damage to animals
Inferno
- Type: Crossbow
- Maximum Level: 2
- Sets fired arrows and nearby mobs along the flight path on fire
- Increases ignition radius with higher levels
- Does not affect pets
- Particularly effective with "Multishot" and "Piercing" enchantments
Maelstrom
- Type: Trident
- Maximum Level: 3
- Damages mobs near the trident and pulls them toward it
- Does not affect pets
Aquatic Restoration
- Type: Trident
- Maximum Level: 2
- Restores durability when held in water or rain
- Treasure enchantment (does not appear in enchantment table)
- Incompatible with "Mending"
Retribution
- Type: Crossbow
- Maximum Level: 5
- Deals extra damage to illagers (excluding witches and ravagers)
Keen Point
- Type: Crossbow
- Maximum Level: 3
- Increases arrow damage at the same rate as "Power"
Poison Aspect
- Type: Sword
- Maximum Level: 2
- Applies poison to the target for 5 seconds
- Level 2 increases poison damage rate
- Incompatible with "Fire Aspect" and "Wither Aspect"
Outpour
- Type: Trident
- Maximum Level: 5
- Deals increased damage to fire mobs and extinguishes burning entities
Torrent
- Type: Trident
- Maximum Level: 3
- Increases swimming speed while holding the trident
Vampiric
- Type: Sword
- Maximum Level: 2
- Has a chance to heal the wielder by 1 heart on hit
- Chance increases with level
- Only triggers with full attack cooldown
- Does not work on undead mobs
- Treasure enchantment
Weighted Blade
- Type: Sword + Axe
- Maximum Level: 2
- Has a chance to apply weakness on critical hit
- Chance increases with level
- Level 2 applies weakness II
Wither Aspect
- Type: Sword
- Maximum Level: 2
- Applies wither to the target for 10 seconds
- Level 2 increases wither damage rate
- Incompatible with "Fire Aspect" and "Poison Aspect"
- Treasure enchantment
Armor Enchantments
Obsidian Skull
- Type: Helmet
- Maximum Level: 4
- Reduces damage when crashing into walls with elytra
- Can be found in enchanted books in end city chests
Searing Touch
- Type: Chestplate (+ other armor on anvil)
- Maximum Level: 2
- Has a chance to set attacking mobs on fire
- Chance increases with level and rolls separately for each armor piece
- Can only enchant chestplates in enchantment table
- Fire duration: 2 seconds × total enchantment levels on armor
- Maximum duration: 16 seconds
- Incompatible with "Depth Strider" and "Frost Walker" on boots
Steadfast
- Type: Chestplate
- Maximum Level: 3
- Reduces knockback when hit and slightly knocks back the attacker
Saddle Enchantments
Saddle enchantments cannot be obtained by enchanting saddles in the enchantment table, but can be found in enchanted books through the enchantment table, villager trades, and generated chests.
Quickness
- Maximum Level: 3
- Increases horse movement speed
Leaping
- Maximum Level: 2
- Increases horse jump height
Buoyancy
- Maximum Level: 1
- Allows horses to float in water
Loot Additions
The mod also adds new ways to find enchantments in chests. Setting the "discoverable" parameter to false in the configuration file will prevent the enchantment from appearing in loot.
- Saddles in existing chests have a 50% (configurable) chance to be enchanted with a random saddle enchantment at a random level
- "Aquatic Restoration", "Torrent", "Outpour", "Maelstrom" and vanilla enchantments can rarely be found in enchanted books in ocean ruins
- "Searing Touch", "Wither Aspect" and vanilla fire enchantments can rarely be found in enchanted books in nether fortresses
- "Searing Touch" and "Inferno" books can be obtained through piglin bartering
- "Obsidian Skull" books can be found in end cities
- "Poison Aspect" books can be found in jungle temples
- "Frost Walker" books can be found in igloos
- "Retribution" and other vanilla enchantments can be found in enchanted books in pillager outposts
New entries are added to existing chances of finding random enchanted books in respective loot tables.
Configuration
- Enchantment appearance in loot can be toggled in the configuration file
- Enchantment appearance in trades can be configured in the configuration file
- Enchantments can be set as treasure, preventing their appearance in the enchantment table
- All loot modifiers can be configured using a datapack
- With Quark Oddities installed, add these enchantments to the "Influences List" section of the configuration for candle influence
