Fireflallay Mod
Did you notice that Mojang added fireflies to Minecraft? No? Then try giving a torch to an Allay and see what happens!
This mod will finally satisfy all firefly lovers! After installing Fireflallay, a regular Allay transforms into a fiery version - the Firefl-allay (yes, a very original name!).
The Fireflallay Mob
This is a special type of Allay that floats exactly like the regular version but looks like a real firefly! While flying, it emits fire particles and produces light level 15, creating an amazing glowing insect effect:
To get this mob, you'll need a regular Allay and a torch. Simply give the torch to the Allay, and it will turn into a Fireflallay. If you want your blue friend back, use a water bucket to cool it down.
How Do Frogs React to Fireflallay?
Short answer: they get hungry.
Long answer: they really get hungry and prepare their tongues for a meal. Unlike regular poisonous fireflies, eating Fireflallay restores the frog's health!
What Happens to the Allay in the Frog's Stomach?
Unfortunately, it gets mostly digested, and its skin drops when eaten. But it gets cooled down! You can also eat the Allay skin, but be prepared for a nauseating small flight upward or something similar. Definitely nauseating.

Version 1.2.0+ - FrostFairy and Respawn Totems!
With this update, when one of your flying friends gets eaten, you can bring it back to life using the magic of the Illagers! (Provided YOU didn't EAT your FRIEND first!)
Simply put, just combine a Totem of Undying with either Allay Skin or Fireflallay Skin.

(or how to summon the FrostFairy!)
First, you eat it. Then... let's say things get a bit more complicated here. There's a legend about one type of Allay that's very powerful and rare, and has an incredibly cold heart.
Probably because it's made of frost and dead skin of its kind. It's called FrostFairy, and you can craft a totem that will allow you to summon it as your assistant. Sort of.
You need to collect all three types of Allay skin (enjoy frog hunting), then a totem of undying, some emeralds, and something musical and echoing from deeeeeeep underground. Oh, and the coldest snowball you can find - that will become the creature's heart.
Combine all this on a crafting table and obtain the mysterious FrostFairy Totem! You'll be able to summon the little cold creature wherever and whenever you want! Except in warm areas. For a snow creature, this is limited to biomes with snow, ice, or the void.
Great! No, uh, I meant Snow barbecue! Wait what? Whatever, just wanted to say you've now spawned the FrostFairy!
The FrostFairy Mob and Its Abilities!
Being kind of the best Allay-like creature in existence, forming an alliance with it might prove useful. By giving it specific items, you can get quite powerful buffs! Wonder what would happen if you give it a snowball? Maybe it will start shooting at something? With obsidian, will it give you a permanent Resistance effect? Who knows!
In my opinion, you should try to figure out what other items do on your own, but if you want, they're listed below:
