FirstAid - Realistic Health System
FirstAid mod fundamentally changes the familiar health mechanics in Minecraft by implementing an innovative regional damage system. Instead of the standard health bar, each body part now has its own vitality indicators.
New Approach to Health
Your body is divided into 8 independent zones: head, torso, legs, and feet have separate health indicators. This means that damage is now localized and requires targeted treatment.
By default, natural health regeneration is disabled, which persists even after removing the mod. To restore normal regeneration, you can change configuration settings or use the command /gamerule naturalRegeneration true.
Healing is performed using bandages and plasters. When you right-click these items in your inventory, an interface opens allowing you to select a specific area for treatment. Death occurs when head or torso health is completely depleted.
Damage Effects
Limb injuries cause various negative effects. For example, damaged legs lead to constant slowness, while serious head injuries can cause temporary blindness or nausea.
All these effects can be temporarily suppressed with morphine. While the drug is active, negative consequences of injuries don't manifest, but after it wears off, all effects return.
Modified Armor System
Protection calculation has also undergone changes: when taking damage to legs, only armor on that body part is considered. However, since a standard helmet provides less protection than a chestplate, armor values are multiplied by special coefficients.
This makes head and torso protection critically important for survival in dangerous situations.
