FixMySpawnR

FixMySpawnR is a modification that significantly reduces server load caused by mob spawners. Many popular mods add dungeons, caves, and other structures filled with spawners to the world, but these blocks consume enormous amounts of computational resources.

How does the mod work?

The mod sets a special deadlock timer for mob spawners. When this timer triggers, spawners stop performing their usual logic of searching for players and creating mobs, freeing up valuable processor resources for other server tasks.

Compatibility with farms

For version 1.18

If a redstone signal of power 8 or higher is placed on top of the spawner (redstone dust, torch, block, etc.), the generator will continue to operate normally. Using redstone dust and a lever is recommended — this produces minimal light.

For version 1.19

If a redstone signal of power 8 or higher is applied to the spawner (torch underneath, lever on the side, etc.), it will also continue normal operation. Using a lever is considered optimal as it produces no light and takes up little space.

Settings and compatibility

The mod works exclusively on the server side — players don't need to install it. Although it helps in single-player worlds, the greatest effect is noticeable on multiplayer servers. The base deadlock time is one in-game day (24000 ticks), but it can be changed in the server configuration file.

Proof of effectiveness

Testing was conducted on a server with one player. At one moment, 16,000 spawners were activated (a 40×10×40 cube). The graphs clearly show the moment when all generators were deactivated:

Performance statistics

Before deadlock (16,000 active spawners): Graph before deadlock

After deadlock (16,000 spawners): Graph after deadlock

The results show a two-fold reduction in load: average tick execution time decreased from 20 to 10 ms (from 19 to 8), and maximum time decreased from 50 to 15 ms (from 48 to 13). Although the mod relieves relatively small load, its benefits become especially noticeable in the long term for modpacks and servers with many structures containing spawners.
