Flattened Dimensions - Datapack Collection
This project is a collection of datapacks that transform standard Minecraft dimensions (Overworld, Nether, and End) into flat versions while preserving all biomes and structures.
Important Information
To use, simply add the datapack during world creation in the standard way. You do not need to select the "Superflat" preset - the system works automatically.
Compatibility
The "Superflat Dimensions" versions are currently incompatible with mods that add new biomes. This is a technical limitation that may be fixed in the future, but for the datapack version, a solution is impossible.
Regular "Flat Dimensions" should work with biome mods, though some unusual effects may occur. Remember that terrain generation mods typically override each other, and this project is no exception.
Available Versions
Classic Superflat Dimensions
Three layers of dirt and one layer of bedrock at Y=0 level. No trees, vegetation, caves, or ores. Only structures and biomes are preserved. Created based on the classic "Superflat" preset.
Superflat Dimensions
Similar to the classic version, but with the addition of trees and other biome features.
Flat Dimensions
Normal world limited to Y=64 height without caves. Based on the "Overworld" preset for superflat worlds.
Flat Dimensions with Caves
Standard world limited to Y=64 height with caves preserved.
Generation Features
For versions 1.21.2 and newer:
- Mineshafts generate on the surface
- Mansions may float in the air (technical limitation)
- Ocean monuments are no longer covered in water
- Aquatic mobs spawn below Y=4 (requires 3 blocks of water)
For versions before 1.21.2:
- Phantoms spawn only above Y=63
- Most aquatic mobs spawn in the range from Y=50 to Y=63
