FlightBoost - Fireworks Alternative for Elytras
This mod introduces three special boost charms into the game that can replace traditional fireworks when using elytras.
Effects and Enchantments
Each charm has a base cooldown of 7.5 seconds between activations and provides a boost lasting 1 second. To improve characteristics, the following enchantment types are available:
Efficiency (vanilla enchantment): Reduces energy consumption with each activation.
Flight Duration: Increases boost duration by 1 second per level (maximum 4 levels), allowing for total duration up to 5 seconds.
Cooldown Reduction: Decreases charm cooldown time by 1 second per level (up to 5 levels).
Charm Types
Basic Boost Charm
- Has 128 uses before applying Efficiency enchantment
- Charges through explosions - drop the item in the world and cause an explosion (TNT, creeper, etc.)
- Explosion strength affects charge level, but it's important not to overdo it
- Doesn't break when fully discharged
Powered Boost Charm
- Can charge via Forge Energy system (and compatible energy systems) instead of explosions
- Stores 25,000 FE energy, consumes 250 FE per activation before applying Efficiency
- Supports in-inventory charging from battery-like items such as Thermal Expansion capacitors
- Crafting recipe only appears when Thermal Expansion, Immersive Engineering or EnderIO are installed
Infinite Boost Charm
- Has unlimited durability
- No default crafting recipe
The mod also provides extensive configuration options allowing adjustment of durability, repair modifiers, cooldown times and other parameters.
