Floristry

Inspired by SirSengir's classic mod Forestry, this project is also about bees and breeding. However, in Floristry you won't be breeding the insects themselves.

Instead, you'll use Minecraft bees to breed magical flowers with various mysterious properties. And that's not even mentioning the unusual honey your bees will produce!

The mod is actively under development; some features are not yet complete, and there may be bugs!

Features

Vanilla flowers. When two standard flowers are close to each other and one gets pollinated by a bee, there's a chance for them to crossbreed and spread. In some cases, they might mutate into a completely new flower species.

Special flowers. Created by crossbreeding regular flowers with each other, they come in 4 tiers with gradually increasing properties. Lower tiers serve only for decoration, while higher tiers produce unique effects like neutralizing fall damage, creating light, or blocking mobs.

Magic honey. When a bee collects nectar from special flowers, using a glass bottle on the hive or nest might yield magic honey instead of the usual kind. Honey has stronger effects than the flowers, with different flowers producing different types of honey.
